I'm really curious about the new music video too, Jacque. I hope it's a NEW one they are referring to, and not the recent Whatever Happens video. I wonder which song will be the first single? Inquiring minds want to know!

michaelbutton, I'm sorry you feel that way. You're obviously one of those who will boycott Sony. Sony is a business, so yes they are looking forward to making money, like any other business would.
How do YOU know Michael's wishes? It saddens me to know that there are MJ fans who share misinformation and upset others, just to start their own holy war. Don't you see all of this just promotes dissention and hatred? This is not Michael's wish.
Just my 2 cents.

Chill out Michaelbutton, I just copied & pasted that from FB and the source was MJ Fans Of Southern California. How do you know Michael's wishes anyway? His beef was mostly with Tommy Motolla who was fired years ago!

Roger Friedman from his showbiz411 website: ...In the end, four of what might be 12 tracks will be derived from sessions Michael did with Eddie Cascio in his suburban New Jersey studio three years ago...
...Some of the other tracks will be outtakes from Jackson albums, a Paul Anka song called “Love Never Felt So Good” from the session that produced the title track for “This Is It”...Read full article at: bit.ly/ddcCGqMarty In LA

www.legendarymichaeljackson.nl/?p=1987Many rumors have been going over the internet in the recent weeks about the upcoming new Michael Jackson album. It was said that Michael’s family did not believe it was Michael’s voice on some of the tracks. Some people going as far as calling the forthcoming album a fraud. Because no part of this news was confirmed by any party Legendary MJ decided not to publish on this subject. Now a reliable statement has been made by the MJ Estate lawyer. Howard Weitzman, lawyer for the MJ Estate, has told TMZ he had experts (Sony called in forensic audiologists) listen to the tracks and all of the experts concluded it’s Michael’s voice on all the tracks. Bob Stringer, chairman of Sony Music’s Columbia Epic Group, who is overseeing the King of Pop’s legacy, is believed to have been hugely impressed by the quality of material when he first heard the tracks. The reason the album has yet to be given a release date is because Sony is trying to track down all the musicians and collaborators who need crediting. The music giant needs to avoid the kind of litigation that marked Michael Jackson’s final years. Sources say the melodies and hooks on the songs are strong and show a maturity in Michael, who was nervous about letting the world hear his work and worried that unfinished tracks would leak. Michael left vocal ideas as voicemail messages to trusted associates who would piece the tracks together. Sony is set on getting the record out for Christmas.

This project sounds like it's in the final stages, although we shouldn't expect it this month, my personal hunch is that MJ's 'new' CD will be released in early Decemeber 2010.
Hoping and praying!

That makes sense, Marty. We should have seen at least a promo for it by now! There's no way that Sony would miss the Christmas buying season so we will definitely see and hear it by Christmas!
The waiting is torture! LOL

I like it and think it's beautiful, Norma! Yes it's a collage of the past, but it's celebrating his legacy. Michael likes it too I asked him about it and he wouldn't have called it "Michael." We laughed about that. I asked him what would you call it and he said he liked "Visions." I agree.

Okay, here is Charles Thomson's view on the "new" song released by Katherine, and his concern that it could sabotage the public's interest in MJ's new album. Since then, we've learned from Taj Jackson's tweets that Katherine did NOT release the so-called song. www.sawfnews.com/Gossip/65668.aspxI'm going to re-post this info under Heads Up, and Events & Activities because this conversation is threading all over the place Please check the other MJ Album or CD threads for more late breaking info. Here's even more controversy, this time about the cover! It seems that Prince (the singer) doesn't want the reference to him on Michael's album. LOL this is getting good... Michael's album has to be the #1 news story on the planet! www.tmz.com/2010/11/07/michael-jacksons-new-album-now-prince-free/Refer back to the photo references I posted the other day to see Prince's symbol up close. That is the last time you will see it

I like the cover too ... seems appropriate for this one. Since there are more CDs to come, we can see a visual depiction of "the future" later on. I like the collage and the central figure of MJ being crowned by angels.
I'm up late, so I just listened to Breaking News on michaeljackson.com. I really like it ... it's still in my head, the way every MJ song has a way of lingering. The audio montage at the beginning reminded me a little of HIStory, and the thrust of the message recalled Leave Me Alone and Tabloid Junkie.
I also adore how this song enables him to speak posthumously about all that is being said in the news about his life/legacy/etc. I love how the lyric, "you're breaking the news" has a dual meaning ... that HE as a subject is "breaking news," but moreover that this kind of tabloid journalism is "breaking the (reputation of) news." AND you can dance to it. Classic MJ. Our man rips out another hit!

Found the upcoming UK promo for Michael's album! Has anyone seen a promo yet in the US? I haven't seen anything in Canada, just for the Wii game.
This makes me smile, and want to cry at the same time!
