Thanks for that idea, Dawn. That is what I have been doing too, but tweeting people directly like Larry King (too late now), Anderson Cooper and even Al Sharpton. Anyone in the media who is known to fight for justice.
Now that you have emailed your letter to the MJJ Justice Project, I have emails for the Directors at Discovery UK...
Nicolas Bonard, Senior Vice President Discovery Enterprises International Discovery Networks Europe
President & CEO of Discovery Communications - David Zaslav
Assistant to Mr. Bonard - Lucy Radcliffe Nicolas_Bonard@discovery-europe.com; David_Zaslav@discovery.com; Lucy_Radcliffe@discovery-europe.com
Just copy and paste the above email addresses into your email, and then send the same letter you already sent or write up a new one! It can't hurt to write more than one, and remember we don't have much time left! If you wish to call to complain, call Ms Radcliffe at her direct line: From US (011 44) 208 811 3033 From UK 0208 811 3033
Thanks so much for your help!

Here is the latest news, with even more details... More action needed!Discovery Update: Michael Jackson Autopsy Re-enactment scheduled Discovery UK January 13, 14, 16, 17, 2011. Michael Jackson's Estate has recently advised that their team of lawyers, after discussions with UK lawyers regarding the autopsy programs, were told there were insufficient legal grounds to stop Discovery from airing the planned mock autopsy of Michael Jackson. The situation is still being monitored. In light of the above, the global effort to accelerate emails, calls and letter writing to Discovery is now critical. A word of caution: Please stop talking about the Discovery shows on public sites such as TMZ, CNN, Huffington Post, Yahoo -- wherever. Posting even pro-MJ / anti-Discovery comments in public achieves only one thing... It simply does Discovery's advertising and promotional work for them and give them the kind of publicity PR professionals charge thousands for. Here is what you can do instead... Write one letter, and simply change the name you address it to.. send it to every person on this list. 1: Write a letter to: Nicolas Bonard, Senior Vice President Discovery Enterprises International Discovery Networks Europe /Oprah Winfrey Network Chiswick Park Building 2 566 Chiswick High Road London, W4 5YB UK and: David Zaslav President and CEO Discovery Communications 1 Discovery Place Silver Spring MD 20910 and: Dr. Hunter who will perform the mock MJ autopsy Michael D. Hunter, M.D. 3737 Frankford Avenue Panama City, Florida 32405 2: Email david_zaslav@discovery.com Absolute head of Discovery. President and CEO Nicolas_Bonard@discovery-europe.com Senior Vice President of Discovery Europe Lucy_Radcliffe@discovery-europe.com Radcliffe is the assistant to Nicolas Bonard. mark_hollinger@discovery.com Hollinger is president of Discovery Networks International. corporate.discovery.com/contact/viewer-relations Discovery's Viewer Relation in-house complaints area. theforensicdoc@gmail.com This is Doctor Hunter's email. He will performing the mock-autopsy. mjj@innocent.com You may copy emails to MJJJustice project here. 3: Calls Mr. Bonard's assistant Lucy Radcliffe has a direct phone line. From US call : 011 44 208 811 3033 From UK call : 0208 811 3033 Finally: Please do not use abusive language in any of your communications. write non-emotionally and simply but firmly explain why these proposed programs on Michael Jackson are not only morally and ethically reprehensible -- but are also a potential source of serious anguish and emotional distress for Mr. Jackson's surviving children and family. Would a program of this kind even be contemplated on River Phoenix, Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy, Tim Russert or Elizabeth Edwards? This disgrace is happening because years of dehumanizing Michael Jackson in the media has led to the belief that this is acceptable. It isn't.

My letter is finally ready and I´ve already emailed it to all the addresses Mal provides in the post above. Here it is:
Dear ___________
I´m writing to request that the proposed airing of the documentary on Michael Jackson´s autopsy on the UK Discovery channel in January will be canceled immediately.
How such a program even came to be in the first place is beyond comprehension since the idea of re-enacting an autopsy of any human being for public viewing must be considered ethically and morally wrong as it is the worst kind of invasion of privacy imaginable and undermines the idea of sanctity of human life even if the life in question has expired. Besides, no viewer should have to see such a thing however synthetic the cadaver on the program will be.
That the subject of this program happens to be Michael Jackson is also thoroughly reprehensible . Mr. Jackson has for a very long time now been the target of tabloids that have never hesitated to tell lies about him and smear the good name of this great entertainer and humanitarian for their own gain. That a reputable medium such as the Discovery channel now even considers using Michael Jackson´s name and the circumstances of his death in such a manner, clearly demonstrates the dehumanizing effect this longstanding abuse of the tabloids has had.
I would also like to ask you to please bear in mind that Mr. Jackson is survived by 3 children, parents and other relatives to whom the airing of this program is bound to cause great emotional distress.
Sincerely,
Please tell me what you think of it.

What a great letter, Iris! Since I've been so upset with this show, I sent a new letter yesterday too, and you will find I touched on some of the same things you did. I'm copying it below, but first to let you know an emergency teleconference call happened yesterday and the following was decided at that meeting...
For the moment, the focus remains on urging the fan base (and us) to email personnel at Discovery -- and as importantly -- reminding people to bcc. mjj@innocent.com in all their emails. These emails should be sent daily! Let's flood their inboxes! Bcc'ing mjj@innocent.com serves the purpose of building the letter/email packet that is being compiled by MJJJUSTICE and Reverend Gross. This packet will eventually be delivered to Discovery. We also need to encourage fans to call their cable providers with the instruction that Discovery be removed from their channel choices. Since this is not possible for your cable provider to remove one channel within a block of channels, you can ask them how to block a channel yourself, but tell them WHY you want to do that. This will send a loud message to Discovery that their exploitation of MJ has clear, commercial consequences. We need Discovery to know their viewers are leaving -- and why. We need to approach it from the perspective that this is not acceptable for humanity in general. The airing of this program has absolutely crossed the line. In addition, Reverend Catherine Gross will let all of us know when her next radio show on this issue will air (on Dec. 27th). For the purposes of future calls, we would like to use skype, as it is much cheaper -- well in fact, it's free. Could any of you who wish to participate in that please email your user names and we will log them?
Also tweeters need to follow mjjjusticeproject on Twitter.
++++++
I sent my email letter to the following, and will keep sending it EVERY DAY:
Nicolas_Bonard@discovery-europe.com; David_Zaslav@discovery.com; Lucy_Radcliffe@discovery-europe.com
with a blind cc. to mjj@innocent.com
TO: Nicolas Bonard Discovery Enterprises International Discovery Networks Europe/ Oprah Winfrey Network Chiswick Park Building 2 566 Chiswick High Road London, W4 5YB UK
Dear Mr. Bonard:
I'm so upset that you plan to run the mock-umentary called "Michael Jackson's Autopsy: What Really Killed Michael Jackson." It is absolutely outrageous that your network would air such a programme. A re-enacted autopsy of Michael Jackson? Whatever for??? What about an autopsy show for Princess Diana? Or Farrah Fawcett? Or Heath Ledger? Or Anna Nicole Smith? Or why not an autopsy report on the 3,000+ innocent victims killed on 9/11? Do you see how despicable this programme will be to your viewers? If you wish to show your viewers that your network gladly promotes shameful, sensationalized programming showing extremely poor taste just to bolster your ratings, you will accomplish your goal.
And what about his children, his parents and siblings? Why don't you care how they will take this? What this programme will do to them? Did you know that Mr. Jackson's children are dreading your programme? Why don't you care? Does it not matter that Jackson's estate lawyers looked into stopping it from airing? Unfortunately, they don't have the legal jurisdiction, but this should be your first clue as to how upset and outraged they are!
I'm not speaking as a fan, but as a concerned citizen. Where are your morals? ethics? good journalism practices? What could be achieved by so graphically depicting an autopsy re-enactment on Jackson? One only needs to read the coroner's report (accessible online to all) to get the facts... including his medical condition and afflictions. So we already know what, and who killed him. We don't need a TV show to spell it out for us.
I implore you to use sound judgement and common decency to cancel this documentary... it is not too late to show your network has respect for the dead. Please spare his children, family and the rest of your viewers the gory, graphic details they were never meant to see, and should not ever have to see.
I've always enjoyed the Discovery channel, but if this is any indication of your future programming, I want no part of it. I could not morally or ethically watch such a show, and I'm sure many feel the same. If you go ahead with your plan, be sure to expect losing many loyal viewers, followed by worldwide outrage.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann Layton Canada

I have signed petitions all over and i have sent a protest to different mails. This is not very easy for me since i can't type english like you do.
But i sent 5 short mails already, in a polite tone, and i did also mention the boycott of Discovery channel.
What i did not mention, my daughter and me did visit my mom's grave, to light candles and decorate her tombstone during the christmas time. I have no words to describe how i would feel if my mom, or dad's autopsy should be aired on a public TV. I think i would puke, feel sick and ill. Just saying, i am thinking of Michael Jackson's family and his kids.

I just saw that ad the estate lawyers mention in their letter. It really chilled me to the bone! It is so disgusting, so offensive. I will most definitely add a few lines to my letter about that before I send it again. How dare they!!! They obviously have no shame whatsoever.

Dawn, thank you for posting the lawyers' letter! You beat me to it Isn't it great? Unfortunately, they have no legal grounds to stop the show, but they have made it very clear how the family feels, and I'm so glad they included all of us fans too! I did see that ad with a corpse lying under a sheet, wearing a glove, and it was so disgusting, I don't want it posted here. It actually broke my heart and I shed a few tears. It's just downright sensationalism they are after... grrr! Everyone, please keep on sending your letter everyday! The people have spoken, and now so have the lawyers! JUSTICE for Michael!

Yes MAL, that ad is BEYOND DISGUSTING & I can only pray that the kids have not seen it! I think the letter the estate sent is intended to shame the Discovery Channel into not showing such crap, they should really be ashamed of themselves!!!

More good news, looks like the LA coroner's office is against this travesty as well:
L.A. County Coroner Ed Winter joins the criticism of the Discovery Network’s upcoming special reenacting Michael Jackson’s autopsy. Discovery Producers asked him for an interview earlier this year to describe the autopsy: “I told them no, we had no interest in doing it and it was a pending case… I think it’s unprofessional and I wouldn’t do it out of respect for the family.” ~Assistant Chief Coroner, LA County

I just know he is Alicia, I can just picture him looking down at all of us smiling that GORGEOUS smile of his!
Here's a statement from the estate:
Statement from John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of the Estate of Michael Jackson:
The Estate of Michael Jackson is pleased that Discovery Channel made the correct decision in choosing to cancel this exploitative program. We are hopeful that this show will never run in any market in the future. While Discovery cited legal proceedings and our request as the reasons for its decision, none of this would have happened had it not been for the incredible passion displayed by countless Michael Jackson fans worldwide who knew they stood as one and that their voices could not be ignored.
Here is Discovery's official release: Discovery cancels Michael Jackson autopsy TV show LOS ANGELES | Fri Dec 31, 2010 12:49pm EST LOS ANGELES Dec 31 (Reuters) - The Discovery television network on Friday said it canceled plans to air a reenactment of the autopsy on Michael Jackson's body, citing an upcoming court hearing and concern by the late pop star's estate.
The show, "Michael Jackson's Autopsy: What Really Killed Michael Jackson," had been set to air in several countries of western Europe and in the United Kingdom on Jan. 13.
"Given the commencement of legal proceedings beginning next week, and at the request of Michael Jackson's estate, the scheduled broadcast of the medical documentary related to Michael Jackson'sofficial autopsy has been postponed indefinitely." __________________

OMG, I am thrilled! As soon as I read the Reuters article, I burst out crying for joy! What incredible news this is... we have so much to celebrate today and be thankful for! Thank God that Discovery UK did the right thing! Of course, we need to give Branca and McClain a lot of the credit for stepping up to defend Michael's legacy, but we fans who have worked tirelessly should also take a bow! We must all know now we fans have a STRONG voice, and we can no longer sit in silence when we see injustice against MJ! The news is great BUT I would like to ask a favor, that you write another letter to Discovery commending them on their wise decision, but this time warning them that we fans will be watching. And that you have now unblocked their channel I just finished writing my New Year's message to MJ's Army before I saw the article, so now I will have to go back to the drawing board And I don't mind at all! LOL
