Hi Kristi, I took your poll, and moved your thread here under Heads Up, where it belongs.
Can you tell us more about MJ Advocates? I don't know if it's possible to ban people's opinions on certain MJ issues, especially with Murray's trial coming up. What should people talk about in your group?

I will list here the type of Topics I want people to talk about or Post about:
How you feel now, your grief? I want members to be able to know they can go to my group and talk about Michael without thinking about Conrad Murray or the trial. How much Michael meant to you? How much Michael still means to you? How much Michael influenced you? How much Michael continues to influence you? What you're doing right now to help spread Michael's message of love? The dates & the times of Fan gathering, Trips or Prayer Circles. If you see or hear about someone doing something negative that we can influence or stop. For example, the Discovery autopsy show. I DO NOT want people posting things we can do nothing about like Conrad Murray or his trial because that will just depress us, unless you can think of something we can do, We can just refer to Conrad Murray as "That person." If you want to mention the Trial you can mention going the Courthouse just neglect to mention why? I want this Group to be about things that "lift us up"(make us happy, even if that's just helping a struggling MJ Family Member) and do not post anything that will "Tear us down"(depress or upset us). I want this for Michael because I believe he would not want his Fans dwelling on negativity,
Love You,
Can I Copy & Paste this?

Maybe I am starting this group to early, in which case you can join now , then Post when you're ready! I am worried that to often whenever I hear about Michael I also hear about Conrad Murray. I worry that, that's always how it's gonna be and that's not good for his legacy or the mental well-being of his Fans like me. Because of this terrible, terrible tragedy, I now and possibly for the rest of my life, take an anti-depresent every morning and a sleeping pill every night.

Hi Kristi, I understand what you're going through, really. But it's impossible not to think of what Murray did, the reason that our dear Michael isn't here. Unfortunately, Murray will always be intertwined with MJ, forever. A lot of us are hoping that some kind of good can come from this tragedy, that the medical profession changes its policies regarding excessive prescribing drugs. Especially regarding propofol being used outside of a hospital or clinic.
We all went through the same pain you're going through now... the same grief. Instead of pills, we turned to each other for comfort, and to Michael's beautiful spirit. To read more of how he continues to change our lives and give us hope, check out the Connections With Michael board for some very beautiful and moving stories. Michael not only lives in our hearts, but his spirit LIVES! I hope you find some comfort knowing that.
It's all for L.O.V.E.

I understand what you're saying but I guess for my own Mental well-being I created a place where I or anyone else who wants to can go and attempt to talk about Michael without talking about how he died or who is responsible. I mean people can talk about Elvis without talking about the drugs that killed him. People can talk about John Lennon without talking about the man who shot him or his Trial. I guess just want to help Michael's fans, myself included, get to that point because, I believe, Michael himself would not want his legacy "tainted" by thoughts of Conrad Murray or his trial. Nor do I believe it has to be. If we take steps as soon as possible to seperate the good thoughts of Michael and the bad thoughts of Conrad Murray and his Trial. Then maybe we can "save" Michael's Legacy and Fans Sanity's, including mine,
Love You,

There are no banned Subjects just banned Names. If you want to talk about Conrad Murray just call him "that person" or "a certain person." If you want mention going to Courthouse that's fine just leave out why you are going. There is just something about seeing those two things in Writing that gives me the Chills. Love You,

You're right Kristi, thanks for explaining your views. You are right that we should remember what Michael brought to the world, instead of how he died. But it is just so fresh in our minds... I am sure that after the trial is over and we see some kind of justice, we will get some closure and things will settle down for us.
Only after our grieving is finally done can we fully celebrate his legacy.

Put two examples of completly acceptable posts. The first refering to but not about Conrad Murray. The second refering to but not about his Trial.
