I was looking forward to watching Erin Jacobs from the group Justice4MJ (I met her in LA) on Jane's HLN show Issues the other day. But was not too pleased with what I saw, and the WAY that Jane led the conversation. See for yourself...
From what I can tell, Jane wanted to make a "story" of this stare-down in court between Erin and Murray. It was even talked about on other shows, how Erin's group was thrown out of the courtroom. It sure looks like Jane wants to highlight the "crazy MJ fan" factor, especially when I saw her show yesterday. Would you believe, she interviewed a BeLIEver??? OMG, talk about us all looking like WACKOS! This BeLIEver (who was practically stalking him) went on to say how Michael was being kept somewhere against his will, being made to churn out songs! So it's obvious that Jane has little to NO respect for the fans, but instead is working the ratings, no matter what.
Because of this, Erin needs to REALLY be careful next time she's invited on. She should have stuck to the facts and given reasons why we believe Murray is guilty, and hopefully she will do that next time while dismissing courtroom histrionics.
On a brighter note, Erin called in to TMZ's live show and was perfectly poised and professional, even impressing Harvey:
This was much better and I'm glad she could make the case for Harvey to hear. Harvey has long been under the assumption that Michael's past drug use most likely means Murray will be found not guilty. Don't count on it, Harvey!!!
By the way, I don't agree with Justice4MJ that the charge should be 2nd degree murder. I've always made my views clear at the forum, but I'll say it again... the Prosecution had to charge Murray with the lesser charge of involuntary manslaughter... they knew they had a much better chance of getting a conviction. Look at the Casey Anthony verdict! They charged her with 2nd degree murder and she WALKED! That is exactly what Murray could do too if he was overcharged... WALK! And I personally could not bear that! Plus I never believed Murray meant to do harm... he was just careless and incompetent. And stupid.
Your thoughts?
