We are already hearing rumblings from our group about this stupid rumour, so I am putting this to rest.
Here is today's article from TMZ:
'This Is It' Producers: No MJ Body Doubles Posted Oct 26th 2009 1:28PM by TMZ Staff
The people behind "This Is It" are furious over reports that the Michael Jackson featured in the movie is a body double -- claiming those reports are "pure garbage."
The controversy began earlier this month after Joe Jackson claimed the media was going to "tear this movie apart" -- and insisted it was "mostly body doubles."
But a rep from Sony -- co-producers of the flick -- tells TMZ, "This story is pure garbage and there are no body doubles.
Audiences will begin to see the film tomorrow and every time they see The King of Pop they will know that every frame is unquestionably Michael as he rehearses and prepares for the London concerts that were to have begun this past summer."

Here is another article from CNN, verifying the truth from the first article above:

Is 'It' really Michael? Posted: 03:04 PM ET
As if there wasn't enough controversy surrounding Michael Jackson – the investigation into his death, whether the "This Is It" movie and album are attempts to capitalize on his demise, who wrote the title song, ad nauseum – you might think the last thing at issue is whether that's really Michael dancing and singing on screen. But the late star's father, Joe Jackson (not the most credible source in the world when it comes to his sons), said recently the film would be "mostly body doubles."
Now, Michael impersonators are a dime a dozen, especially here in Hollywood, where you can't swing a sequined glove without hitting a moonwalking wannabe. But using them in a movie called "Michael Jackson's This Is It"? Could a movie studio really be that craven?
Absolutely not, says... the movie studio. Specifically, Steve Elzer, Senior Vice President, Media Relations at Sony Pictures. Here's his quote, which doesn't seem to leave much wiggle room for intepretation:
This story is pure garbage and there are no body doubles. Audiences will begin to see the film tomorrow and every time they see the King of Pop they will know that every frame is unquestionably and undeniably Michael as he rehearses and prepares for the London concerts that were to have begun this past summer.
Good enough for me. Pass the popcorn.

Thanks for posting this Mal and putting this to rest once and for all. This is such crap and I resent the fact that people are being hurt by it.
First of all...let's consider the obvious.
Yes, Michael impersonators are a dime a dozen and if you get one to walk through a crowd and film or photograph from a couple hundred feet away, some might be fooled.
But NOBODY has Michael's energy, and NOBODY can dance like Michael. I don't care how good you are, I don't care how many hours of practice you have, I don't care about computer generated graphics and all they can do with them these days, and I don't give a rats ass if you're one of Michael's on stage dancers....NOBODY dances like Michael.
The man can be imitated, but he cannot be replaced - not with computer imagery and not with body doubles or impersonators.
There will always be people who want to bring pain and suffering to the world. The fact that they will go so far as to claim to be fans who are just looking out for Michael while weaving crazy conspiracy theories designed to bring suffering to the true fans, is sickening.
The fact that that they are helped by off the cuff remarks by Joe or anyone else should be ignored. None of that is what matters. What matters is that we love Mike and he loves us. We will use that love to change the world.
This is what he asked of us, and so this is what we will do.
Peace, Nut

Yes, thanks for posting this for us, Mal! This morning, I gave in to my emotions and was terribly hurt by what I had heard on CNN. I should have believed my instincts, which were telling me this was all just a bunch of bulls*** , but sometimes I am weak and am overcome by doubts. These people are just horrible, disgusting perpetuators of lies!! I need to remember to have faith and trust my instincts! I love you more! Jacque

Just to be accurate, after watching the movie, there WAS an MJ impersonator in the Smooth Criminal video clip. He was the one sliding down the bannister and crashing through the window. Other than that, it's all Michael!
It's all about the love,
Mal
