Love is a frequency, so we can tune our spirits on it like we were a radio to receive but more to radiate as new to our environnement and the world as a whole:
Love is a frequency Love is a nice feeling. It feels good to love, to be loved. Falling in love and being in love makes people feel "high" and makes the world look lovely. Love, physical closeness and sexual intimacy actually have a chemical influence on the body, releasing Endorphins and Serotonin and enlivening the body down to the cellular level. Emotional well being and mental peace of mind produces high levels of beneficial chemicals. People who love and are loved are radiant. Love has inspired much in the world, especially in the realm of music, song and film. The love that inspires intimacy and affinity is called "Eros."
"Philos" is a love for family, community, friends. It is friendship love. It is reserved for those whom we consider as part of our circle.
There is another kind of love that connects us to others in a different way--to each other, to consciousness and to the world. "Agape" love is the love we have for our fellow man, for the interconnected web of life. It is magnanimous, generous, unconditional and encompassing. It is the love that devours, sweeps and encompasses all. Agape love fills in all the cracks and makes aggression impossible.
Within agape there are two ways to love: in isolation and in expression. The isolated lover is contemplative, seeks out the deserts, forests and mountaintops and lives as a hermit or saint who loves much and demands little. This kind of love is transformative and can transfigure.
The expressive form of agape involves contact with other human beings, enthusiasm and a sacred sense of work. It involves trance, ecstasy and connecting with God or the Divine. The God stuff comes through the person and into the work, the direction or idea. When we believe in something from the bottom of our soul, we tap into another force, an energy, a certainty and intensity of purpose; we feel stronger about the world, about faith. When Jesus spoke about the Kingdom of Heaven belonging to children, he was speaking about enthusiasm within agape. Enthusiastic agape is magnetic; it brings others into the circle because of its nature, its attractiveness.
There have been people in the world who loved unconditionally and with this enthusiastic quality and frequency of love. The Dalai Lama energizes any venue; Diana, Princess of Wales lit up a room; and Michael was the most visible example of enthusiastic agape in action in the world. This radiance is what especially attracted children to Michael. Children are born with this inner shimmer and they recognize it in others; they resonate. They will seek out and follow someone who embodies this brightness and love. You can't fool children; they have this inner radiance until indoctrination and the collective vibe of the world dims its light. Children recognized Michael's frequency and wanted to be around him. People flocked to his concerts because they felt the vibe in the music and the man. It is the same exchange of love and devotion that moves between guru and devotees who want to hang out and bathe in the master's energy.
From what we know or have learned about duality, we can understand how a beaming light in the darkness or this rarified love vibration brings its opposite pole into being. For every Yin, there is an equal Yang. Outshine those whom you minister to and cheerlead and watch the resentment begin and the friendships fall away. Achieve a certain level of success, especially in the arts, and watch people become uncomfortable. Achieve worldwide fame and adoration and watch the mean people come out of the shadows.
We are finding that meanness doesn't work anymore. Humans are filled up on that frequency. The world doesn't want to hum that tune anymore. We are learning about unity, about sacredness, about God in the work, the world and people. We want to sing a different melody. We are tired of war, hatred, terrorism, threats and the divide and conquer ethic. We want to love. We just need to learn how to do it better. People like Michael remind us that we can be so much more. Michael would sing "Heal the World" at a concert and yell "house lights" requesting that the audience be lit so he could see them. The audience would be swaying, singing, crying, lighting flames and feeling the vibe. Michael would yell "Look at yourselves; you're beautiful!" When is the last time someone said that to you? When did you last stand in a crowd knowing that you belong absolutely, that you were all beautiiful and that you are one with all the others? You are in that crowd now.
Love is more than appears. It's more than a feeling. Is it a place? Is it a state of mind? A vibe? A rarified frequency? A way of being? Companion animals and children know it and teach it: animals wag their tails when they see you just because you're there; children have natural exuberance. When someone is being that frequency--the love wave, we know it; we feel it; we adore it; and we want to be around it. People who have this vibe or frequency of enthusiasm in agape are beloved. It explains the relationship between Michael and his audiences, Michael and children, Michael and his fans. Run the frequency of this kind of love through your body, then stand back and watch the miracles arrive. Blessings and Peace,
Rev. B "One Wordsmith" at Inner Michael

WOW Catharina, thank you again! I think Rev. Kaufman is such a beautiful and wise soul. This article is wonderful. Did you know that she didn't really know about Michael until after his death? She came to him much like many of us here... in wonderment at what she discovered. I didn't know there was a term for the kind of love that Michael was so filled with....
