This coming Saturday I'm going to attend a show called "Too Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band." Have any of you seen this show/band (I believe they tour). Apparently their show spand his whole career, from the J5 days to the past decade.
I'm very excited and will definitely report back to you all. I've felt a serious lack of community within my friends/family/Vancouver in general. It'll be nice to be in the midst of a crowd where I can share my love for MJ. I'm still searching for events near me that may be taking place on June 25th.
Love to you all! I've been quiet on the forum of late, but present nonetheless. I read your posts, follow your links, and appreciate your global presence.

Melissa, I'm so thrilled for you! You will just LOVE it! I don't know if you remember, but I got to go to a MJ impersonator concert back in January, and even though he didn't much look like Michael, I still had a blast singing, screaming and dancing It was a real joy too to see how many MJ fans are in my hometown too. I really envy you! About June 25th, I was thinking that we should all get together on line, through skype. It's been so long since we connected anyway. What do you think? Please let us know how the concert went!

Here's the report! It was great. The whole thing began with a video compilation (similar to the beginning of Moonwalker) culminating in "Prepare to be blown away!" The band started up with "Jam," (as his Dangerous concert did) and the impersonator appeared from the shadows (he looked so much like Michael in silhouette!) He had the Bad-era long curly-haired look going. My personal favourite. Man, was he ever good! Obviously not our MJ, but he definitely honoured what MJ was ... and he was also an obvious fan. In between songs he went on about how much he missed him and how he inspired everything in his life. His voice was top notch (he totally hit the high notes) and he had most of the dance moves down. Billie Jean was great ... and he had the band members come out to do the sequences for Thriller, Beat It, and Smooth Criminal. I went from laughing hysterically at the whole thing (it was just strange, you know?) and crying during the Heal the World and Man in the Mirror numbers. After it was over, I was slightly depressed. His absence felt all the more amplified, or something. But it was a beautiful experience nonetheless. Here's their website, if they're coming to your town: www.whosbadmusic.com/. Highly recommended! L.O.V.E. to all of you ...

You're so lucky, Melissa! I hope you're feeling better now, especially since you saw how many people from Vancouver are into Michael. When I went to the tribute concert, that part really warmed my heart, that they not only loved his music but were missing Michael too.

Melissa, the show sounds fantastic!!! How I wish they were coming to Houston! I checked their website, but they aren't coming anywhere near to Texas. Bummer!! Maybe they'll decide to come here at a later time? Since I'll never get to see our beloved Michael in person, I guess this would be the next best thing! Thanks so much for your report! It made me smile!!
