OMGosh, This made me cry... So, So BEAUTIFUL...A friend on Ytube passed this on to me... www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyvFXpFnikkHer friend is a teacher... And she gave the kids a project...here is her note that she shared... a little note from Grace (graciana83) just want to share my experience last week with my kids in school. ...last thursday, the 24th, my co teacher Evy and i made a tiribute to Mike thru our art classes, we let the kids make sketches and drawings of MJ, then on friday, we posted it on the walls outside of our classrooms. it was fun, the kids had fun. it was also a venue for me to tell the kids the truth about Michael... In one of the four sections that I'm handling, one girl said "teacher, Michael was a woman, right? ", a boy also told me in another section, "Michael was gay, wasn't he?". so i had to tell them he's not, he's a man, told them who he really was, the beautiful person that he was. but among the almost 200 pupils in my classes, one boy stood out. he told me, as we were discussing about Mike -- "teacher one thing i know about Michael is that he loved children and he helped them. is that why you liked him so much?" i almost cried infront of the class... i choked up a "yes, it's because he had a big, big heart". that boy was wearing a badge or a round pin of Michael on the right sleeve of his uniform... i was happy that out of the many, there was one who truly knew him. it was a very emotinal weekend for us. but we survived, didn't we... love you! hugs, grace

I was out running today, practising being in the moment, using my breath to stay present...and this poem just kind of wrote itself in my head. It's been a long, long time since that has happened to me-- I used to write often, but haven't for about a decade-- and although I'm very shy about sharing anything I've written, i want to share it with you here. It's rough, first draft I guess, lol...but here it is:
God gave the world Michael, And gave Michael the whole world. He took it seriously from the first pure note to the last electric move, And he brought the whole world Back to God. Now we, the World, should be On our knees Begging for absolution, pounding the earth for another chance, tearing out our eyes that didn’t see. We should be dancing furious spinning on our toes arms outstretched to catch An angel should he ever fall this way again.
