Oh, I really hope so! This would be the ideal venue for Katherine to talk about Michael and dispel all the myths and distortions about him ... show the world the man/musician behind the media construction. I want that for her and for Michael.

According to TMZ, Katherine sat down with Oprah at her Encino home on Saturday, and Oprah also got a tour. Here are the pics: photos.tmz.com/galleries/oprah_visits_jackson_family_home#tab=most_recentI get a strange feeling that Oprah has let us down once again, this time maybe just not asking the right questions. I hope I'm wrong though, but I feel Oprah wouldn't want to discuss Michael's innocence.

I'm very concerned about this guys, I don't think Oprah EVER believed in Michael's innocence! Just recently she said and I quote" We will NEVER know if the allegations against MJ were true or not" I ask, who are we?? MJ's Army knows that Michael was ALWAYS INNOCENT! I think Oprah is doing this strictly for the ratings, she trashed him when he was alive, why do an interview w/ his family now? I don't trust her at all and I'm rapidly losing respect for her.
Just because she was molested as a child does not mean Michael was guilty!

I know Dawn, it's upsetting to me too. Oprah has never believed in Michael's innocence so why would she even bother to go there in her interview with Katherine? The TRUTH is out there, posted all over the internet and here of course. You don't need to be a brain surgeon to find the real story, if that's what you're looking for. I remember right after Oprah ran her original MJ interview again, all the comments at her website (and there were hundreds) were supportive of Michael, and included links to the TRUTH. A lot of them also bashed Oprah for her continued views that she still questioned his innocence. This of course is totally unfair, and then we wonder why the general public still think wrongly about Michael. It's because of Oprah's and the mainstream media's ignorance, or having made their minds up a long time ago, and they refuse to see anything different now. Very sad I'm going to move this to Rants... please comment further because I'd love for you to share your thoughts too. This just in from Randy... www.tmz.com/2010/10/13/randy-jackson-oprah-winfrey-michael-jackson-joe-jackson-katherine-jackson-interview-molesation-trial-jury-deliberations/#comments-anchorMal

It's official! Katherine's interview with Oprah will air on Monday, November 8th!abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory?id=12026845This article says we will get to see Michael's children... I really hope they are NOT interviewed. It's bad enough that they will appear, especially on Oprah's show. Does anyone else see the irony here? The one person that Michael would hate to have his family get close to, and she's getting the all access and grand tour of the Encino compound! Also just in, Jackie will be featured on Oprah too, on a special devoted to teen heart throbs. That will air this Thursday, November 4th. www.oprah.com/showinfo/Teen-Heartthrob-SurprisesIt's obvious to me they won't be discussing what's really important to discuss, Michael's innocence I wish I had better news to share, I really do! The children should not be appearing at all. Especially on Oprah! I think they are being exploited. Anything for ratings! This feels so wrong.

I agree with you both! More bad news.... grrrrrr! Why does she do this? Doesn't she realize this is so insensitive?
Oprah Airs Jackson, Molestation Shows Back-to-Back 11/2/2010 12:15 PM PDT by TMZ Staff
Oprah Winfrey may not get a Christmas card from Michael Jackson's family this year ... because she's airing the tell-all interview with MJ's children back-to-back with a special on child molestation.
Oprah's big interview with MJ's kids -- Prince, Paris, and Blanket -- is scheduled to air next Monday ... but according to Oprah's website, the talk show host is airing a show the Friday before entitled "200 Adult Men Who Were Molested Come Forward."
Interestingly ... the Jacksons had beef with Oprah over her programming decisions back in 2005 ... when she did a show on pedophilia during jury deliberations in Michael Jackson's molestation trial.
A rep for Oprah's production company tells TMZ, "There is no connection whatsoever between the two shows. This is purely coincidental."

Well I just watched Jackie on Oprah. Don't get me wrong... I love Jackie and it was nice to see Oprah go crazy over him since he was her biggest celebrity crush. I think he was way too nice to her, but then he is promoting his new song coming out.
It's going to be extremely hard for me to watch Monday's show with Katherine and the children. I've been crying already, just thinking about it. But I heard Michael tell me "it's okay" so I have to let it go.

It will be interesting how this interview comes across. In her interview with Lisa Marie it still seemed like she would not let go of the drug use and the molestation charges. I really can't believe she being the self proclaimed spiritual person that she is, that she can't see that Michael was light years in spirituality beyond 99% of the human population.

I agree 100%, shonaye. It's going to be extremely hard to watch!
Everyone please mentally prepare yourselves for this. Say a prayer or try meditating before you watch. Michael said "it's okay." Don't really know what he means by this... it could be a reminder that he is with us. I hope that just knowing that helps you deal.
Hugs,
Mal

Yes, I agree the children shouldn't be exploited. However, they are still his children and people will always remain curious. The new thing about Michael's voice not being used on the album is so obvoius. What would sell more records than people buying it to see if it really is Michael's voice. As for grilling his children about this - I say lay off, but this won't happen of course. Why? Yes, you guessed it they are still his children. I listened to one song Norma sent to me. This is Mj's voice blended with technotronics. I have to laugh because its all for the pursuit of the dollar bill. Will it ever end? Judith

The interview with Oprah was great! Katherine spoke openly about the love for her son. Oprah has a tasteful and nice interview with the kids. I was impressed. Way to go Katherine! We all cried with you as you recalled the day of Michael's death. I can only imagine the pain she must still feel. God bless you Katherine and god bless you Michael. We love you.

I sort of agree, Judith. I didn't find her interview that bad at all... she seemed to be genuine with Katherine and the children. With Joe, she gave him a bit of a hard time concerning the "beatings" but then that was called for.
Before the interview, I asked Michael for strength to see me through it, and asked him to be with me. He was, and I was incredibly strong. Even through the worst part, when Katherine was talking about how much she missed her son and kept weeping. I was too, and I'm sure everyone was.
She's such a beautiful mother, such a good person. I love her so much... it's almost like we've adopted her as our second mom, right? Oprah was good with her, and I'm thankful for that. Katherine was truthful and didn't say anything we didn't already know... I am SO glad she cleared up the media's misconception about Michael wearing pyjama bottoms to his 2005 trial. Thank you Katherine! I'm also so glad that the public now has a better idea of who Michael really was, and what he went through.
Personally, it was good for me to see the children looking healthy and happy. They look like great kids, and I'm so glad they shared special times with their dad. I can see the public having only compassion for them, so I'm thankful for that too.
Any other comments?

That's okay Dawn, we understand.
Judging from comments here and from other MJ fans, this interview was a good one from Oprah for a change! Yes, she did ask about his surgeries, the drugs and molestation, but then that's we expected of her, right? Katherine was very honest and I believe the public believes her. Otherwise, it was a compassionate and caring interview, so I'm moving this thread under the Truth About Michael. It's no longer a rant.

I also agree that the interview was responsible and compassionate. Like you said Mal, these sorts of questions are expected of Oprah, and at this point, the more we hear the answer "never, he would never do that" the more that truth will resonate and drown out the decades of media lies. You know, even Joe came across as sympathetic to me. Sort of vulnerable and sweet.
Paris strikes me as an old soul. She has this assurance about her ... a directness and strength that I'm sure Michael instilled in her. They're great kids and I'm glad they have so many cousins and relatives around them now. All in all, another wonderful peek into the man behind the celebrity. Sigh ...
We miss "everything" too Michael.

Well, Oprah was just being Oprah I guess, bringing up all the same old subjects. Katherine was wonderful, but sometimes I could hardly bear to watch her pain, I was in tears whenever she was. Joe was just being Joe. Before I watched the interview I seriously considered skipping the part where she interviews the children since I´m so against them being part of this. But of course I watched it! And now that we know that they seem to be doing very well I hope no one will feel the need to put them on tv for a long time. At least until they are 18 and decide for themselves they want to be on tv.
