Last Wednesday on American Idol, James Durbin made a dumb comment... that he was wearing so much hairspray and didn't want to have a "Pepsi moment." Read more here... www.mtv.com/news/articles/1661097/jackson-family-james-durbin-american-idol.jhtmlYou can just imagine some of the outrage from fans. And I can understand the Jackson family being upset, because yes it was at the very least, inappropriate. However, I don't believe James meant to offend or had any malice towards Michael... he was making a joke that he later realized was in poor taste. Everyone agrees that it was. James later tweeted an apology, adding that he had always been a big MJ fan. As for the fan uproar, I found it ridiculous. To pick on this guy, talking like they wanted to tar and feather him... well that's just wrong! Like I tweeted afterwards, we have much bigger fish to fry, rather than picking on this young guy and his stupid comment. Then @qbees tweeted the best ever rebuttal! I had to thank her for her wisdom and level head. www.twitlonger.com/show/9jj4c7You know what is even nicer about this incident? The media did NOT jump all over this story and continue on with a rant about Michael. They are now seeming to understand that when they bash Michael, it will be seen for what it is... in poor taste.
