Recently, the MJ fan community scored a MAJOR victory, and here is the story from United4MJLegacy... united4mjlegacy.blogspot.com/2011/09/small-victories.htmlUSA Today did the right thing, but CBS News used that awful name in an article too, and fans are continuing to send their complaints. It's one thing when the tabloids call him that, but for the mainstream media to make such an obvious slur not only demeans Michael's character, but promotes the continuing perception to the public that Michael was strange or wacky... and maybe not deserving of our respect? This perception has GOT TO change... Joe Vogel among others have joined this campaign to ensure the mainstream media stops using this slur against Michael. Even Prince tweeted about it, and I was so glad he did! This means that we can include this little fact when we complain to the media, that it hurts his children as well. Join us in being ever vigilant on Michael's behalf! Justice for Michael!

As I mentioned, Joe Vogel is just one of the many supporting this campaign to erase "Jacko" from the mainstream media's vocabulary. Here are his thoughts on this and PLEASE sign the petition! www.twitlonger.com/show/d24mmkJustice for Michael!

Wonderful news Mal! I just recently found out that the name "Jacko" also has racist history as well, it seems it was used as a slur against African Americans back in the day!

I didn't know that, Dawn. But I honestly think the media did not mean to call Michael a racist slur, just demean him with that name.
