Inspiring. It's coming to Vancouver November 4th and I'm already buzzing with excitement. This will be a sorely needed antidote to the trial and a resurrection of MJ's spirit. Reports to come!

Woohoo! Hee hee! Aaaaaooooooooow! My sister and I met at the Pony Corral restaurant downtown before the show. Our new arena is downtown and only a few blocks away. As we ate, the restaurant was playing MJ tunes They even had a complimentary shuttle going to the arena for the show! I was worried what my sister would say when we discussed our following the trial. You see, she had previously told me it was all Michael's fault!!! So she blew me away when she said she hopes Murray is found guilty! I felt like crying from happiness because she now knew the truth, that Michael's death was NOT his fault! As for the show, AMAZING! Phenomenal! Magnifique! What a beautiful tribute to Michael... I laughed and I cried. You'll be crying too, once you hear and see I'll Be There! Imagine Michael splashed on the jumbo screens throughout the show, and his beautiful voice magnified like you've never heard it before! It was like he engulfed the arena, and the Cirque troupe were AMAZING... the way they danced EXACTLY like Michael, the acrobats, and the fun! At one point, someone in the crowd yelled out "Love you, Michael" and then so did I! That was the mood of the place... that we were all there to honor HIM! I was pleasantly surprised by the song choices too... not just the popular favorites but also songs like Childhood, Another Part of Me, Gone Too Soon and Threatened! And to see Michael's actual Neverland gates... WOW just stunning! I know if Michael was here, he would LOVE to see the gates travel all over the world in his honor, and I know he would have loved this whole spectacle! From the tree of life, to Bubbles, to the dancing glove and shoes, to the incredible aerial acrobats... STUNNING! A tribute fit for a KING! Thanks so much, Cirque du Soleil! Please share your Cirque experience here too!

Beautiful review MaryAnn!!
It's heartwarming...I needed that after today's testimony. I attended the premiere on October 3rd...and for 2 hours, it felt like Michael was very much alive. His voice was so clear, vibrant and warm...you just forgot he is not physically with us.
My favorites moments change from day to day...but Childhood, Human Nature and I Just can't stop loving you are highlights. As someone who never witnessed a live MJ performance, I appreciated the Cirque's effort. I also agree with you, the song choices were pleasant surprises, I hope many people will discover his post-Thriller gems.
We keep hearing how much MJ love Cirque Du Soleil (not hard to believe because he loved to surround himself with magical things), I hope that wherever he is, he can look down and see how much he is missed and loved.
ETD: How can I forget DJ Bubbles? And the short movie that MJ filmed for This is it"s Smooth Criminal? I love the reference to a gloved one criminal. That made me smile.

I'm excited FOR you Melissa! ;D You know what I was thinking when we heard MJ's more obscure songs? (not popular favorites) I figure that at least some of the audience were not big MJ fans, but were there more to see Cirque. I wanted them to come away with a new appreciation of what an incredible talent Michael was, to suddenly realize his genius! Just like my sister, who said she didn't know all the songs, but then of course she wouldn't if all she was aware of was the Off the Wall and Thriller eras. So for me to hear his beautiful voice sing Childhood and Human Nature... well I was PROUD! By the way, I have to add I LOVE what Cirque did with Thriller... the dancers were EXACT! What a WONDERFUL tribute! And remember the one-legged acrobat? Holy cow!
