Hello: I don't know quite how to put this so, I'm just going to free write what comes into my mind. It bothers me that the "industry" has not stood up and had recognition for Mike's contribution to the entire machine as it were. Each and every time I hear music by other artists, or see them dance in a video...or see a video, which I haven't been able to do, because frankly, I'd rather just watch Mike...I get angry. Because, I see Mike all over it. I see his influence, I see his stamp. I see his moves. I see HIM.
I recently ran across a song he performed for Sammy Davis Jr. and I would like...I would really like EVERYONE to stand up and sing that for Mike. I mean, in my heart I feel that the owe that to him.
where was the love while he was still walking this earth? where is the love now?
I have love...all the love I have is about Mike. He has shown me how...
I just want it for him.

I hear you, Poeticowl The industry really needs to step up, instead of staying silent! They have hardly done anything for him so far! But don't worry... they, and all of us, will see the brilliance of Michael when his movie comes out. I feel that public perception of who he really was is changing already - just go to any MJ forum and feel the love from all the fans. There are SO MANY that are hurting now, where before they could care less about Michael. It's up to MJ's Army to find them and help them heal! There is a lot of positive buzz out there for Michael's new song, This Is It. It's just a matter of time... Love you, Mal

I with you on that Owl, and by the way, this is the perfect place to post this I know we've talked about this issue of Mike's contribution going so largely unrecognized, but I want to add my thoughts here as well. I completely agree with you and I think every black artist, and every artist of any color whose work stems from the doors Michael opened, ought to be on their knees thanking God for sending Michael to the world and thanking Michael for doing the work and kicking down the doors they so easily glide through. Naturally Michael puts his arms up and waves his hands and says 'no, no no' because he doesn't need that and doesn't even want it. I get that, and I've told him I get it. But we want it and we need it. I think it would help fans around the world tremendously in terms of healing their grief if they could see Michael finally getting - publicly - all that he so richly deserves. Maybe they're doing it privately and that's a good thing. It's good for Michael and it's good for their own souls. But in my opinion, this should be something that is done publicly and on a global scale. He deserves at least that much. Peace, Nut

Doughnut, are you saying that Michael doesn't want recognition anymore for his contribution as an entertainer? Really? I would think he would be proud to finally see it, but please explain his view.
I just posted a page from the Silenced Truth team under the Heads Up category, listing all of Michael's charitable contributions. WOW, it really is incredible. Why couldn't the media ever report on those??? It makes me so mad that they would rather not share the good that people have done. But instead = the bad, the stupid, the bizarre.
