OMG! It was so wonderful to watch our sweet Michael on stage, enjoying the creative process and getting his performances just right. He sounded amazing, and I was loving his funky new steps! At first, I was a little teary eyed, but very soon I was bouncing, smiling and laughing... it helped that Michael was with me, with his arm on the back of my chair! He was so happy to watch me enjoying myself. Some funny moments: - noticing his package LOL - where he almost grabbed the girl's boob LOL - when the male dancers are practicing crotch grabbing, and the girl said she had nothing to hold I am going again on Friday - YAY! Please add your comments... I want to know what you found amazing or funny too. Mal

This Is It : is an absolute must see!!!! I have seen the movie"this is it" and I can tell you it was GREAT. I was on the premiere Wednesday(today) morning at 7 am, we saw first 15 videos of Michael and their was a group of dancers in front of the screen; they danced like magic; often synchronize with the video; there was also a little boy of 9 years, he danced like an little angle; Then the moving movie, with Michael; he even tried to explain how he "hears" the composition" out of universe, he tried the dancers and musicians to explain it comes from before his ears: Nut, commented about the this is it CD that people now can know how Michael is totally vindicated by the film she said; I heard the first comments on it from Holland, but I can tell you, they still don't know him really; so there is a lot of work to do for us; In Paris I took contact with the group of fine dancers on the premiere to tell them that I have a lot of ideas to work together to crate an event, an ecological event in the name of Michael; We can gather an event with for example Green peace and a lot of others, a fair trade show, organic vegan food and videos on big screen with these dancers in front of this. The most important Michael stated in this movie was that I thinks that we only have 4 years for this world; after this period concerning him, there will be no possibility to return to a better level for this world; so we heave to show more to make it better, we only have 4 years; we have to go eat without meat, because it diminished 20% on CO2 outcome; it will feed the entire humanity and the rain forest can be left in peace, It is delicious to eat like that and it will set more love n this world, so give it a try; if you want any recipes, you be welcome. I also talked to the press in Paris and said that Michael's way of charity is debt and that since his passing away they will be earning more money on them then he gave in his entire life, but that they didn't count with the amount of fans, that were 10 million and after his that the have doubled and this will be continuing. I said that France is the country of L'Amour, LOVE and that they can make a change on that so we have to work on that; I even saw photo's of water crystals after humans had spoken the word LOVE in different languages next to it and the most beautiful water crystal was after spoken the word AMOUR; it is in a book of a Japanese photographer. (The scientist who did these experiments is Dr. Masaru Emoto. Google him) I Hope you enjoyed the film like I did; I want to see it again, because there is a lot of information in it. Michael was amazing, he was full of energy with eyes and ears everywhere, we have to recon with that whereas we need half a word to understand him; the more outsiders need half word to misunderstand him, so we have to deal with that; maybe it is because they have an other software in their brains, because of years of bad news in the papers, on the TV, etc. the take it as it comes; We are hear to open up their mind, so did Micheal; he helps us; after his passing away he has more tools to do it; He has more fans; Many of us didn't listen to him while he lived, but the stronger we drank of his knowledge after his death; we are strongly motivated and pure changed to do it, that's his goal, so go for it www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_DdfXjfa5wLove Catharina

Hi everyone... I'm still on a high.. I've seen the film yesterday, with my friend Aicha. Before we went to the theater, we grabbed a bite.. We talked about Michael.. We were soooo exited. I even dreamed about the movie! Anyways, there was music playing in the diner. As I listened, I heard a guy sing: 'this is it, ... blablabla this is the moment'.. It wasn't the song of Michael but I heard it and I mentioned it to my friend. I said: listen, just today this moment we hear a dude sing 'this is it', and we're gonna see the film! It was as if Michael was there. Ok, so we're eating our grilled chicken and mashed potatoes (just as Michael loved to eat them to by the way) - and all of a sudden we hear a cover of Michaels 'I cant help it'.. I swear girls, you had to see the look on my face. I told my friend, oh my lord, listen, Michael's really here with us :-) Ok, off we went, to the theater in Antwerp. We went there an hour earlier. Just in the hope of getting the best seats. There were already people standing there waiting. I was nervous, cuz I was really really exited and really couldn't wait to see Michael on the big screen... Then the doors opened, we ran up tot the best places haha. When I sat down, I looked at the people. I saw a man wearing a keppel, you know, jewish man. I told Aicha, look, only Michael can do that, we are muslims, that s a jewish person and there are many other religious here, sitting and waiting to see him shine. I felt a bit sad, cuz I knew I would cry, I missed him and thought about him and wanted him back... My friend said, just try to enjoy it. The first lines came .. describing what the documentary was about. I already teared up. I said to myself: nooo stop. From the first minute till the last.. Mindblowing! Stunning! Beautiful!! Mesmerising!! It took me away! I loved every second! He was sooo sweet, so humble, so shy, respectfull, he was funny, .. He was just - I can't describe the way I felt! This is It, the special effects; the message Michael had! Earth song was Beautifuuuul, it tore me up, shivvers up and down my spine! I cried... My friend and I were the only two who were singin and dancing to all the songs, we knew every 'HIHI' and 'HOHOOOEW' he was gonna do. I'm sure people felt annoyed by us, but we didn't care... They were all so - passive. When he sang I'll be there - we were waiving our arms from left to right... And his voice... His voice was just... 'Mashaa Allah', as we say, means 'What God wants to create', wich should be interprated as: look at what greatness and amazingness God created, all praise to Him. When we see something beautiful, amazing, we say Mashaa Allah.. Thats all I said the whole time I watched Michael do his thing. I'm gratefull He has created Michael.. And that Michael was Michael..
We didn't stay till the end of the credits, but we're going back saturday! I wonder what Michael had to say...
For everyone, who feels guilty watching the film, just watch it, cuz I felt as if I was in a fight with myself, one side of me really wanted to see it, the other side didn't agree.. I'm happy I did!
Love

Mal, I just noticed this thread! Could you please move (or at least copy) my comments from "This Is It" Breaks a Record thread to here please? Thanks! Jacque Okay Jacque You can edit your own posts just by clicking on Modify... here is your post from the other category: GiveIn, I'm SO SORRY they didn't show the movie where you are today! That's way more than disappointing!!! I hope you see it VERY SOON!!! I saw it tonight at 7:40 pm and my theater was about half full, I'd say. I'm hoping for a livelier audience on Saturday, however; only people here and there (including me of course) clapped after Michael's numbers. I felt on the verge of tears when the movie started but that quickly turned to joy as I watched and listened to Michael perform. He was absolutely mesmerizing!! It's hard to say which song or part was my favorite, as the entire show rocked, in my opinion! But I really loved Thriller, Earth Song, Smooth Criminal, Beat It, Billie Jean, The Way You Make Me Feel, I Just Can't Stop Loving You, Black or White, They Don't Care About Us, and Human Nature. Well, I might as well list ALL of them. Ha! Ha! Michael even sang a short part of Speechless, which I adore! The sets were fantastic and so were the films and the special effects. The movie shows Michael's relentless pursuit of perfection, but it also shows his sense of humor, his humbleness, his humanity, and his ever-present love for his fellow human beings. I didn't want the movie to end; it went by way too fast for me! I was pleasantly surprised that at least half or more of the audience stayed to see the credits and then we had our surprise Nut told us about! Michael was back on stage for a very brief encore of Human Nature and then his sparkly-socked feet were spot-lighted as he jumped to his signature tip-toe pose! I loved it! The only thing I didn't like was that we didn't get to see ALL 100 hours of footage!! As I walked outside by myself to the car, I started feeling sad again, as I was no longer in Michael's presence. I just want to watch him sing and dance forever and ever!! I love you so much, Michael and I always will!! I love you more! Jacque

At first, it bothered me that the audience in the theatre were too quiet, but then I realized that they were sitting in awe, in sacred reverence, appreciating Michael's God-given talent and his love for his craft and for others.
Next time you go, be sure to stay sitting after the credits roll. There is MORE Michael to see, and watch for the little girl from the Earth Song video too! In fact, stay until the film fades to black. Beautiful!

Oh my, simply amazing!! I had hoped that the crowd would've been a bit more excited, but I didn't really expect it here in our sleepy little town. But that didn't curb my excitement! LOL I do wish it had gone on longer- I swear I could've watched all the rehearsal footage! What I really enjoyed was watching the creative process. How MJ interacted with everyone and how they responded to his energy. The respect and love everyone had, it was just truly amazing...

Thank you all for sharing your experiences, it's so wonderful to read!!! I also saw the film last night, at the main cinema in the capital... So the place I went to see it was the biggest event! It was really worth 12 hours waiting in line for the tickets. I attended with the girl who stood in line with me, including some of her friends. Before we went inside the cinema, there was a flashbomb dance in the streets outside, pretty cool! We entered the cinema and there was a show in front of the screen with dancers and imitators, and one of them did it SO well! It looked like Michael and I imagined it was him! It was so amazing! Then there were some speeches, including two Nowegian celebs who attended the memorial service... They even got their faces printed on L.A. Times while they recieved their tickets! Another speech was held of a close friend of Omer Bhatti, and it was very touching. Then, finally, after waiting in the longest 30 minutes I've ever been through, the film started. I was thrilled from start to end!!! Everything else felt pointless, now it was only MICHAEL AND I... He was so gentle, so pure, so loving, so amazing, he was a genius and such a control freak! LOL. And I laughed so hard of his comments! He is truly funny. The audience made so much noise, they were shouting, singing, laughing and applauding! It was great! And those two hours passed by so quickly! Everytime Michael opened his mouth, the audience laughed. It was such a good mood inside the cinema. I especially found it funny when Michael was supposed to "fly" in that machine, higher and higher. And when he always corrected the workers around him: «No, no, nooooo, not that way! I want it MY way! The way III wrote it!», or when the guy that played the piano never could play what Michael liked. At least they knew that it was good enough when Michael would accept it. LOL The end of the movie happened so quick... I immidiately started crying because I knew and I felt that THIS IS IT, this WAS it, Michael. There is no more. There really is no more. I was so happy you shined like a star your final days, but I wish so much that it would have been reality. What I thought of I can't tell you, I just cried out of joy and sadness at the same time... I got really confused and I also felt a bit unconfortable because I didn't really know the others that well and I thought I should stop crying because noone around me did. I didn't say a word to them, I was just quiet and told them I had to leave. I came home psysic exhausted. My whole heart felt so happy for seing Michael, but at the same time totally BROKEN... I just went straight to bed and fell asleep. This morning I had a weird feeling. I didn't feel well, I was confused and tired. It was so strange, I think I dreamt VERY much, but unfortunately I can't remember. My mind was filled with sadness and I really didn't want to get up. I'm sorry for being so negative... I REALLY enjoyed and loved the film, it was FANTASTIC! It's just that my limit is very easy to reach, if that is the correct way to say it. Today two of my friends were discussing the movie, and the one of them was like...«Yeah, he was cool, though very strange. And his shoes? Or his CLOTHES? They were like five sizes too big for him! And he was acting so weird». Ok, I'm very touchy these days, so I DID get hurt, but then the other one said «I liked the movie. But I'm not really fan of what he did to the kids. You know...Abusing them». And I just had to particip and I made it clear: HE DID NOT ABUSE ANY CHILD. HE WAS TOTALLY INNOCENT. She didn't really seem to care... Well - it's her loss, not mine. I can't wait to see the movie again. Then I will pick the last seat in the cinema, so that noone can see me! Tada! I love Michael more and more each day. I simply just can't stop loving HIM! Love you all, Ida

Ida, You are SO lucky that your city in Norway made the opening of the movie a major event! I just wish it was like that here in Canada, or even in the U.S. Besides Los Angeles, I doubt that there was any fanfare or hoopla, which is such a shame. I would have LOVED to see a flash mob dance or watched some impersonators! And I would have LOVED to see the audience cheering and laughing! That sure would have warmed my heart. I am going again tonite and I know there will be a much bigger crowd, so hopefully the people are not so lame! Next time you go, be sure to take Michael with you okay??? It makes a HUGE difference to have him there supporting you Love you, Mal

I will go another time, I just have to order tickets... I'm so slow! The most touching moments were when Michael sung I'll be there and Earth Song. My eyes got wet, I cried so much... But after all, it was just a lovely experience, words can't simply describe what we ALL felt Hayat - sounds like you had a wonderful night! I'm happy for you! Love always, Ida

I'm reporting on my 2nd experience going to the movie on Friday nite My 2 friends and I met there an hour early, and good thing! We found good seats, and just as I expected, the theatre was almost packed by show time. Once again, I watched him in awe and amazement, being aware that everyone else there was also amazed. They laughed at Michael's comments, how the crew and dancers treated him, and especially the male dancers grabbing their crotches I was incredibly proud at the end when the whole theatre applauded! Way to go, Winnipeg fans! Some stayed until after the credits rolled... you could tell they needed to see MORE because they stood (reverently) and waited patiently in the aisles or in front of the screen as the credits rolled... it was clear to me the movie's 2+ hours was just not enough for them. And I was SO thrilled that my friends were blown away! They both had been MJ fans, but just knew of his greatest hits, nothing more. They told me later they both absolutely fell in love with Earth Song, which they'd never heard before! Can you imagine? I told them to definitely buy the rest of Michael's music to re-discover his talent. We then went to a karaoke lounge for beers and a late nite snack. The DJ played Billie Jean and when he noticed me chair dancing, he came up to me and promised to play more Michael, which he did At the end of the nite, my friends could not stop thanking me over and over for inviting them to the movie! We said our goodbyes with such warm loving hugs and "I love you's," which made me realize I was not only sharing, but giving, happiness to others! It's something I plan to do a lot more of, thanks to Michael! It's all about the love, Mal

I went to see THIS IS IT for my second time on Saturday, late morning. OMG, I can't believe this, but it was EVEN BETTER the second time!! The first time I was just so amazed and awestruck by seeing Michael larger than life on the screen. The second time I was able to concentrate more on the little details. Just awesome!! I was most touched by Earth Song and thought Thriller was absolutely amazing - better than the original short film!! Both times, I couldn't stop the tears when the movie first started, reading the introduction and then the MJ dancers' audition comments. But as soon as I saw Michael, I calmed down, the tears stopped and I was just filled with such peace and joy!! Thank you, Michael, from the bottom of my heart, for sharing your God-given gifts, your life, your soul, with all of us!! I will love you forever!! The theater was once again about half filled or a little more (this was the 11:40 am showing on Halloween) and the audience was more vocal and applauded more this time. There were two teenage girls in front of me sporting sequined gloves and MJ-like jackets! Now that it seems as if they are going to extend the movie run until Thanksgiving here in the US, I hope I will be able to catch Michael on the really BIG screen, i.e. IMAX - I've located a theater not too far from me and one that we've actually gone to before!! I absolutely LOVE reading about everyone's experiences and reactions to THIS IS IT!! Thanks for sharing, guys! I love you all more! Jacque

Ok...now is my turn.... I finally got to see it on the 30th. I went at 4:30 and I counted like 25-30 people in all. After two looooong days waiting to see him on the big screen, I finally was there . There were a few things that distracted me.....I felt a little bit uneasy.....maybe because of the waiting, the expectation..... I don't know if it was the copy that they showed here but the image quality wasn't great like other movies, I found it a little bit dark, and at some points the sound wasn't great either....nevertheless, I enjoy watching him in a different way we are used to. I cried a little bit two times. At the begining when he is in the press conference in London...that breaks my heart...and second time at the end when it freeze and the words M.J. King of Pop appears. Appart from that, I think I had a grin on my face all during the movie. Some times I laugh with his comments or things he did. I loved it when he sang "I just can't stop loving yo u" (or was it the way you make me feel?), he was in a playful mood with her and I liked that. It's funny that he is indicating her to look to the front in a part of the song and she's so spellbound with him....she couldn't take her eyes of from him, hahaha....that's the impression I got. The whole movie was great....but like I said, I felt uneasy in part because of the distractions. One of them was a couple in the back row, they came with two little girls and because the theater was almost empty they started to f...k around jumping from one seat to another and laughing and making noises....and the parents, as you usually see, don't say anything to educate their children....arghhhhh. I just gave them a few dirty looks but it didn't help a lot, hahaha......the other thing that bothered me was that they turned on the lights in the credits and I couldn't actually enjoy that last part.....ah....another thing that distracted me was the jacket he was wearing in Human Nature ( sorry Mike ;D) but that was disturbing, hahahaha, I mean those peaks on his shoulders, they look really weird LOL! I don't know how I felt after the movie. I had to process my feelings...one thing is for sure, I LOVE HIM MORE! I want to go again.....maybe next wednesday.....

Thank you for sharing you story GiveIn I'm sorry you had some distractions, like the children who were laughing and jumping...Wish you could have enjoyed the film full! I hope next time you're going there won't be any distructions! I have to order a new ticket, off course I can't just see the movie in the cinema once! I didn't cry that much either, but as you, I cried when they showed the press conference. That just reminded me of my SADNESS...And also I cried when Michael was singing Earth Song, with the beautiful girl in the video...Oh my, that was touching. The end of the movie happened so fast...I broke down, the movie was over, Michael really WAS gone, he was sooo beautiful, so esthetic PRETTY, he was such a genius... Love always, Ida
