This is what I've learned so far, and what works for me. Close your eyes and envision a bubble of energy starting to form all around you, encircling you and completely covering you. It usually starts from your chest and quickly moves to surround you. Picture a force field from Star Trek to give you an idea what it looks like  I actually see the bubble surrounding me, and sometimes it even sparkles! You are then fully protected when you are fully encased in the bubble, and can then try connecting with a spirit. |

Mal, I do something similar. I visualize a bubble or sphere of white light surrounding me. I then just visualize the light getting really bright. Then I'll say something like God/Goddess, please surround me in the white light and protect me from negative energy or something like that as words are not as important as intent is... We should also discuss cleansing our homes and/or personal space. Doing things such as smudging or using herbs or incense etc. But again there are many methods but intent is the most important thing to keep in mind |
