Hi all, it's absolutely fantastic to read all your lovely Opus Stories!!
Okay, here we go:
This is a pretty funny story. My Texan family have paid us a visit this Christmas, and last night we were going to say goodbye. Before eating dinner, my younger cousin and I went upstairs on Grand Hotel (where they were supposed to spend a night) to search for the suite where Michael slept in during the Dangerous Tour. Unfortunately there were about six suites (and we could only find three of them), and I didn't know the name of the suite Michael lived in, so we gave up searching. We went eating the last dinner on Grand Restaurant. The hotel had failed with the room ordering, so the woman who worked at Grand asked my family if they wanted to see one of the suites, to make it good again. I hoped we would see Michael's suite!! After eating dinner, my whole family (uncle, aunt, cousin, mother, grandpa and grandma) went upstairs. The woman said that this was really EXCLUSIVE, and that they RARELY showed guests the suites. She showed us the suite which Obama lived in while visiting Norway to recieve the Peace Prize. It was huge!! I asked her if Michael Jackson lived in this suite, but she said no. I was so DISAPPOINTED... Be happy you've walked the same floor as Michael Jackson, I told myself. But then she said she could open the Millenium Suite, where Michael slept! We couldn't walk inside, but it didn't matter. It's surrealistic, he stayed there 17 years ago, but I was still so happy!! I could just imagineing him walking around in that suite singing, dancing, spinning around....
When I finally came home, I recieved my Opus, better late than never! What a HUGE book! I had no idea it was that big...I put it in my bed, turned on some music (guess who....) and finally I could open my book. You have all said so many wonderful things about that book, so I will just say this: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I especially loved the picture of Michael meditating, the picture of him in the read shirt and the sunglasses between his mouth and nose when he is relaxing, so cute!! Page 131. I also loved page 290-291 - both the text and the picture. Beautiful! I didn't know he asked people to draw him, that was so funny! The picture on page 346 where Michael is dancing with all the children on the grass with the Earth in the background. That made me think that this is where Michael is now: Dancing with the children in heaven who also were gone to soon. Reinet Loubser's article on page 393 "Touching the heart" really touched my heart. I had managed not to cry through the whole book, but reading this really made my tears come... Beautifully written!
Some of you said that you sent in your poems to the Opus, and after reading many of your poems, I was SURE at least one of them would be printed! The two poems on page 394 are well written, but all of your poems I've read deserved to be printed so much more!
I've got a new furniture in my house, where to keep it? Where have you guys put the book? I'm especially curious where Jacque has put it - to hide it for her husband!
Hope you all have had a wonderful Christmas, and have fun tonight! Happy new year! I love you very much!
