As I was working to put the finishing touches on my poetry book, I thought that the people here at MJ's army might enjoy the closing poem from my book. I am also including an insightful quote from Michael, and a quote from Victor Hugo that I saw at a record store about a month ago that I felt fit in perfectly with Michael's life's work. I hope you find all 3 inspirational! Gerri FROM MICHAEL’S HEART Don’t think that I died of a broken heart or was broken by those who despised me. Don’t think that I’m angry at the world for not supporting me, or that I hate those people who relentlessly defiled my name. I just wanted to tell you all this: In the end, it doesn’t matter what they say because I’ve always known a true love, a deep love. I’m here to tell you my ears on earth were tuned to love’s frequency. And nothing anyone can do or say will ever destroy love. **** I think that I haven't scratched the surface yet of what my real purpose is for being here. I'm committed to my art. I believe that all art has as its ultimate goal the union between the material and the spiritual, the human and the divine. And I believe that that is the very reason for the existence of art and what I do. Michael Jackson - Ebony Magazine, December 2007Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent. Victor Hugo

Gerri, you wrote previously that you are working on using your voice in the world, and how it can tremble and seem unsure. Your voice through your words however is so strong, true and clear. Perhaps there was a process there in which the two things had to be that way for a while, so that you weren't distracted by the outer voice, and have been able to hear the inner one so clearly and well. Your poetry never fails to stop the chatter in my mind so that I may fully hear and absorb what you have written.

Hi Karen,
Wow. Thank you for your beautiful comment. I am so glad that my words have been able to as you say 'stop the chatter inside your head.' I do indeed think I am in a healing process of having both my inner and outer voice be strong.
Michael is definitely working with me on this book, (kinda like my 'executive producer!). I think once you see the finished book, you'll sense his presence on the pages. And it is so odd how many of the poems I've put in the book were written 2, 5, even 10 years ago. And they seem to fit just perfectly in this book about Michael.
Yesterday when Michael and I connected, I saw a scene at a bookstore, and my book was on the shelf. I couldn't make out the cover (probably because I haven't chosen a cover graphic yet), but underneath it had in big letters 3RD PRINTING. Then I found myself reading from my book in front of an audience of about 50 people (I've done many poetry readings in the past and trust me, if you get a 5 peoplele you're doing well, so 50 people is kinda the 'big time!) Also, there was someone holding a microphone up to me asking me questions about how Michael inspired me in writing the book...
Michael has told me on several occasions that my life is about to change in a big way. And every time I tell him NO! I'M NOT READY!, he just says calmly, YES YOU ARE.
So the only thing I can do is continue on with my inner healing work, my spiritual growth and allow this all to unfold...
Gerri

Well Gerri, if you let MJsarmy come to your poetry reading you will already have 40-something audience members Post the event on Youtube and you WILL need a microphone to reach the back of the crowd I think it's wonderful that poems have such an amazing life span, that they can sit back for 5, 10 years and patiently wait for their metamorphoses onto printed page Seems like you have been writing up to this moment if that makes sense-- not knowing that your poems had a home already picked out, and were just waiting for you to get there too. With Michael's guiding hand and heart.
