Hi there I don't know where to post this, but anyway... I'm so HAPPY because the editor of a column in the biggest newspaper in Norway asker me to write a review of Moonwalk, and then she just sent me the book, translated into Norwegian! Even if I've read it on PDF, you can't compare it to reading the book itself... The only matter is that I don't feel comfy reading Michael's words in another language than English. I just don't feel like I'm reading Michael's thoughts, even if the translation is pretty good. Even if I now understand every word in this book (which I do not in the English version), it's just REALLY frustrating! One funny thing is: The English version says After all the stops along the way, we finally landed at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem, which was definitely Park Place for young performers like us.I don't know what Park Place is, but it's translated into Ullevål Hageby, which is the small area I'm living in! It's kind of, hmmm, the "rich and good" area of my town... I thought it was so cool What is Park Place actually? I love you all, and I'm sorry not for chatting/writing/joining anything, but staying outside of ATM has happened to me my way of therapy and avoiding heavy grief. I'm always thinking of you and you are in my heart yesterday, today and forever...

Hi Ida... Congratulations on getting to do a write up on Moonwalk...How great is that...I think it is great that Mike's words are put in every language for all to read...I do get what you mean by not feeling like its not his own words... If you can post your write up here when you get it done...Would love to read it...
Park Place is an upper-crust of New York where alot of the rich and famous live...I am not sure if that is what he ment by that but I think it is... Plus, its a spot on the Monopoly board lol...

WOW Ida that is AMAZING!!! Oh my goodness what an honour! You must be a writer/editor or has the word just got out all over your country what a huge fan you are? ;D I have no idea what park place is, or where, but it has to also be somewhere very rich b/c on the board game "monopoly" it is the most expensive property to buy LOLZ I hope you enjoy your task...what a great opportunity to share your perception of Michael with the world!!!! So happy for you!

Thank you guys! Yes off course it's a big honour LOL, my place (Ullevål Hageby) is the 2. most excpensive spot of the Norwegian Monopoly. Off course I will post the review when I've written it, but I have sooo much to do these days, so I guess I won't have time to write anything before after Christmas.....This summer, they sent me another biography of Michael, and the book totally sucked. The author gave a completely wrong view of Michael. I got my review in print, will post the review soon, I just have to translate it! LOVE

Here is the last review, I didn't get to write it that long as I wanted, though... It's not the editor for the whole paper, it's just a one page-daily column for people under 25. Hope you enjoy it! :-)
OVERSIMPLIFIED JACKSON BIOGRAPHY Ida Glosimot 09/17/09
The first Norwegian biography about Michael Jackson is informative, but contains a bad analysis.
The editor of Spirit, Silje Larsen Borgan, came quickly out with the book «The Story of Michael Jackson – The child star who wouldn’t grow up», after his passing in June. The book is written for children and youngsters. The author expresses clearly that Michael’s unhappy childhood characterized his life and career. The book is informative and easy to read, but to say that «he was what you call a freak. He was a funny person, a loner and a strange guy with a weird nose. Unattainable as an artist and painter, and completely oncomprehensible as a human being», I find condenscending.
In the time of writing this is one of a few, it not the only biography about Michael Jackson written for young people. To say that Michael was a baffling man, is in my opinion a bad analysis. The fact that he was a person who gave of himself, shared his live, strength and creativity, and that he had a beating heart for children, Borgan never mentions.
When my future children will learn about my time’s superstar, I won’t show them this book. I think the author has written too little about the human being Michael Jackson, which I find essential to be able to understand the entertainer. The pressure, the lies that the media found up and his trials, was inhuman. Instead of reading «The child star who wouldn’t grow up», I would rather like to read a book about «The man who taught the world how important it is to love each other».

Ida, you're a star! Good on you for speaking your mind, standing up for who Michael was and sending the author a lesson. Michael will not be slandered and taken advantage of anymore. We won't stand for it.
Here's to the continuation of a revolution against the media and the resurrection of the truth about who this man was. Brava!

Hey, Ida! What fantastic news that you are writing a review of Moonwalk!! How special is THAT??? We are so happy for you and can't wait for you to post it here on our forum!! You go, girl!! ;D I think that the reference to Park Place/Ullevål Hageby is too much of a coincidence to BE a coincidence, if you know what I mean! I think Mike wanted you to be the one to write a review of his book! How cool!! So great to hear from you again! I love you more! Jacque
