it is amazingly good!
you can change the world.
I guess you really meant it. OK, I'll take you at your word. You asked: "what can I do?" Here's what you can do: Go and meet the Voices people...
Here is what they stand for:
"Around the world, in neighborhoods and schoolyards, cities and countries, we can lay the basis for a more hopeful world by creating a new type of conversation in which all voices can be heard, and all points of view included, without engendering fear, hatred, or anger.
Difference can lead to dialogue and growth rather than violence. By understanding the mechanism of conflict, we may be able to move beyond the seeming inevitability of war. The Education Project offers tools, philosophies, and learning methods that can help us transform the conditions under which conflict becomes intractable and violent.
Discovering solutions to conflict is a task that can galvanize young people especially. Through the Voices Education Project, we provide films, curricula, books, photo exhibits, web-based self-publishing and information resources, hands-on training for teachers - and a methodology of conflict resolution - that will help young people understand the roots of conflict, confront the pain and fear at the heart of conflict, and help to rebuild healthy human communities."
Here is what I think about Voices:
Voices Education Project is on a simple mission: to lift up humanity and make the world a better place. They shine a light where more light is needed. And they do it with culture and elegance.
The arts can say what history books cannot in a voice that speaks past the human mind to the far reaches of soul. They say it with texture, with energy, with savvy, with sparkle and so much more and they do it leaving the humanity of it gloriously intact. Voices is all about the art of humanity and the making of humans. Their projects heal the world. For example, their recent feature length documentary gives voice to the experience of war with poignant vignettes from those who live it.
Voices has published it!
In the interest of encouraging us to be a little more human, a little more soulful and a lot more aware, Voices has generously featured my recent articles.
Go to Voices and meet a community of: peacemakers, visionaries, humanitarians, leaders, way-showers, and responsible global citizens, Voices raises their voices to raise up the vast expanse of the human spirit
Let us know what you think, let us be inspiring for eachother!
love for all that's the goal!
