The following is a request from JUSTICE4MJ and others to support a petition for a proposed Michael Jackson Legacy Defamation Law. They also include other Facebook groups to join in support. Right now, there is no law to protect anyone's reputation once they have passed away... the media has carte blanche to say whatever they like without any repercussions for their derogatory comments, accusations or whatever. We need to put a stop to this! www.twitlonger.com/show/6v3cdcPlease support this most worthy cause, and sign the petition too!

I signed it and also sent it to my FB friends as well, this crap has gone on for far to long, not just Michael either, I've seen many other famous people's names dragged through the mud after they've passed on and I think it's disgusting!

THIS is why there needs to be an MJ Legacy Defamation Law! As the Fox News announcer states, there is no law in place to protect dead celebrities, and we really must push for it to happen. Not just for Michael, but for anyone who's rights have been taken away just because they died! Just imagine if there was a law, this would be an incredible addition to Michael's legacy... one that would change our world for the better! www.foxnews.com/on-air/america-live/index.html#/v/4479637/can-michael-jacksons-family-sinkAs he mentioned, any news outlet or documentary can say anything they want, are protected by law to defame, libel, slander the deceased and there is NO legal recourse for the family! This is just so wrong and the law needs to be changed! What he is wrong about though, is that if Discovery UK aired their show in Europe, that we in North America would never see it. What planet is he on anyway? Doesn't he know we're now a global community thanks to the internet, and the show would reach YouTube in no time? And this from a reporter at Fox News? DUH!
