I've been living in Mexico for 17 years. I'm a graphic designer and have worked as a photographer, airbrush artist and whatever gets in the way in order to survive, ;-D
I have always admire and respect the genius talent of Michael Jackson despite all the negative things that have been said about him, ever since he was very very young. I have to say that I became interested in get to "know him" better after his passed away and now I have more admiration for him but specially compassion about the human being.
Don't know why but his death touched me in a special way and make me stop and look again....It has changed me somehow....It changed me for good and to try to be a better person....He really reached people's hearts when you are willing to open it.
I guess I'll be seeing you around......Lots of LOVE

Hello, my GLOBAL FAMILY: Jessica here. I live in Santa Clara, California. I am single, have 2 cats, and live with my aunt and uncle (who are brother and sister). I work in Cupertino, California in Office Services, specifically Mail Room Services. I have always admired and respected Michael Jackson for his divine gifts to reach out to the global community and inspire in them love and appreciation. To inspire in me so much emotion, it is amazing. I am so very grateful to everyone who has helped me to not only cope but to function as well. Thank you so very much, to everyone. Keep sharing...it means everything and helps each and every one of us!

Hi, everyone!
This is Jacque (short for Jacqueline) and I live in Pearland, Texas, a suburban area of Houston. I have lived with my husband in the Houston area since 1982. We met while going to college in Valparaiso, Indiana, which is about 50 miles east of Chicago. It is also very close to Gary, Indiana where Michael was born and spent the first few years of his life!
My husband and I have been married now for 30 years; we just celebrated our anniversary in September! We have no children but one very spoiled kitty cat!
I work as an accountant for St. Luke's Episcopal Health System in Houston. I have worked there for 27 years now. I like the people with whom I work and I believe in our hospital's mission: to heal and care for the entire person; not only the body but the mind and spirit as well.
I regret that I didn't really know anything much about Michael until after his death. I just wasn't that interested and had my own life to deal with. But as I was searching the internet to find out more about him as to why so many people the world over were mourning him so deeply, I absolutely fell in love with him and his beautiful message of peace and love! Somehow, Michael has touched me SO deeply in a way that I do not understand, but I will never be the same person again! Now all I want to do is to carry Michael's message of love and peace forward!
Jacque

Hi, I'm Susie and was born on the east coast of the USA in Norfolk, Va. I moved to the West coast in Oregon when I was a teenager. I've been married 25 years this year and have 3 boys-9,16, and 19. I remember watching the Jackson 5 cartoon show when I was a child. He had a pet snake named Rosie and 2 rats- Ray and Charles. I saw their variety show in the 70's and bought Off the Wall when Michael went solo. I remember Motown 25 and everyone doing the Thriller dance in college. Watching him through the years has been a rollercoaster for me. I have such deep compassion for what he's been through. It has been very hard to watch him go through the trials he's been subjected to. It has also been difficult to watch his insecurities eat him up slowly from the outside in. Now I'm left with all these facets of Michael. Michael the lover whose musical passion has blessed my marriage. Michael the brother and friend who made me smile and boogie down. Michael the citizen who has inspired me and so many to be more socially conscious of our world and everything in it. And Michael the child, who, as a mother, I wish during certain times over the later years, I could have taken in my arms, comforted and given some direction. I'm celebrating his music, his strength, his passion for life and compassion for the world. I'm grieving the loss of him, trying to get past the what if's and if only's, and give him completely over to God. So here I am, hoping I can find others like me who are going through this same journey. Love and peace to all. Susie

Hi everyone,
I live in South East Asia and my country Vietnam is where I was born and grew up. I have been working in trading and tourism business for over 15 years now and I still feel excited. I am single and currently live with my life, me, myself, and I.
I feel so grateful to the beautiful gift Michael has brought to my life since his passing: it is this MJs Army Group that I love dearly and have got inspirations in Michael's love ever since I have been around you all. I'd like to share with you about my experience with Michael: I knew of Michael and watched his thriller, remember the time music videos when I was in my teen, I then even bought his audio CDs of Dangerous and History when I finished my college and was always amazed at his beautiful voice and musical talent. He was sooo famous in my country but then I was so busy after my college and my work, career and love, exploring life etc. and I lost Michael and his music in my life for nearly 2 decades...
Then I was soooo deeply touched by his passing, knowing all the lies, conspiracy and controversy he had to go through since he became a mega star but still he had a big heart and forgiving for this cruel world, throwing stones and turning their backs to him, but he never gave up, he kept composing beautiful music just to make people happy, doing his charity work and did several other things larger than life with the hope to make the world a better place...
After learning the truth about this beautiful human being and genius, I have become a changed person (a more giving, more forgiving person and not quick to judge people, especially want to offer unconditional love to the world and to the needs, the minor children).
My favorite song of Michael is "Man in the Mirror", If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and Make a Change !
I love you more,
Billie Jean (aka Ann)

Hello everyone. I am shirlgirl112 and I live in Michigan. I found this site through the Amazon.com discussions group and I love it already. I am an MJ fan from way back. I hadn't kept up with Michael for many years. In my adult years I listened to more christian based music and tucked away my old LP's of Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5. Over the years I saw all the ugly stories and media madness that was published about Michael. I never paid much attention to it because he seemed to always bounce back from it. Now that he is gone I can't believe how much grief I feel. I guess I always thought that no matter what, he would be somewhere in this world doing his thing. Being a person who was around when he first got started I feel ashamed that I was not there when he needed his fans the most. He was such a precious soul. I think of him everyday and pray that his children will grow up and carry on his legacy of love and peace for all the people of the world...especially the children. I believe that they will. I love all of Gods people and will do my part from now on to spread that message of love that Michael spent his whole life doing. Thank you Mary Ann and loveisadoughnut for this forum where we all can find ways to spread that message to eachother and to the world. God bless you all. By the way...I have pulled out my record player and all of my old LP's. I still love his music. I have discovered so many of his videos and music on the internet that I had never heard before...How awesome was he!

Hi All!
My name is Gerri and I live in Detroit, MI, where I was born and raised. I work as an admin asst at my church where I work a lot with graphics, flyers, web updates, etc. I am also a poet and am finishing up a book of poetry inspired by Michael's life, music and love.
I was in high school when the Jackson 5 came out. I remember thinking how totally adorable Michael was, this 10 year old singing in that grown-up voice! I followed Michael a lot in the 80's, which was my absolute favorite music period. Loved videos and how it just brought music alive. I admit that I had not followed him much since the early 90's, although I was aware of his enormous popularity all over the world. I thought even without having followed him that he was probably one of the most powerful people on the planet because of his ability to break down barriers through the language of music.
His death hit me harder than I expected. The grief was overwhelming; sometimes I grieved for him harder than for any close family member who has passed. I have often commented that the reason his death hits so hard is because he was like a force of nature - like gravity or the force that moves tides, and we are still trying to find our center.
The day after the memorial, I began looking for interviews of him on Youtube. I wanted to learn who he was by hearing his own words, and not all th lies of the media. I created a youtube account for the sole purpose of being able to leave comments on videos. Little did I realize that I would end up with this channel where I have now accumulated more than 400 videos! And I have also met some wonderful MJ fans; many of us have shared long, thought-provoking messages that allow us to share what I call our 'sweet obsession' with everything Michael.
Maintaining the channel has been a way to help me through the grieving process. Many who visit call it a sanctuary where they can come and grieve for Michael in a way that honors them. I know that family, friends and co-workers sometimes do not understand our feelings and want us to just 'get back to normal.' My YouTube channel has been a lifeline and a source of healing for us who still heal, while working to carry on Michael's legacy.
I'm glad for the invitation to visit MJ's Army and I hope to come back often!
Gerri
